Over 1.5 million man-hours without a lost time accident.

 

In June 2007 North State Flexibles received the GOLD AWARD from the North Carolina Department of Labor for an outstanding safety and health record.  The workforce at the facility surpassed a significant milestone in safety performance by accumulating over 1 million man hours without a lost time accident.  This is a remarkable achievement that is rarely reached in industry.

North State Flexibles’ outstanding safety record is evidence that we keep safety as a top priority.  Tim Mages, President, credits a safety conscious culture established at all levels and in all departments at the facility.  “This was a team effort,” says Mages.  “A focus on safety has been incorporated by all employees into everyday tasks with people actively and routinely looking for ways to improve procedures and equipment to protect the safety of themselves and their fellow workers.”

At the end of July 2009, North State Flexibles has exceeded 1,500,000 man-hours without a lost time accident.
